Political

Jon is a well-connected political strategist that has been professionally involved in more than 25 political campaigns in Wisconsin and Florida and has represented various private clients for political consulting and government relations.

Prior to stepping foot on campus at UW-Madison in 2013, Jon was appointed Vice Chairman of the Wisconsin Federation of College Republicans under Chairman Tim Duffy, and in that position, he oversaw a great expansion of the state organization, which resulted in a great number of students getting involved in campaigns across the state in 2014. Following the 2014 election, the WICRs were praised for their impact on the statewide race. While in Florida, Jon served as Vice President (2015-2016) and then President (2016-2018) of the Palm Beach County Young Republicans, one of the most active YR chapters in the country at the time.

During his tenure as President of the Palm Beach County YR's, Jon created an alliance with the PBC Young Democrats, having monthly lunches and social events together. Despite not agreeing on many things politically, we all agreed that we are better off understanding each other and working together to make the world a better place.

As a perk of his networking prowess, Jon was also privileged to be a member of the Presidential Motorcade, driving members of the Press, Staff, Secret Service, or whoever needed to be moved within the Motorcade. When President Donald Trump arrived at Palm Beach International Airport, Jon would pick up members of the Press from Air Force One and join the Motorcade en route to Mar-a-Lago, and then drive them around the area when the President moved.

In 2022, Jon ran for the Wisconsin State Senate in a three-way race for District 29. Despite being underfunded and being located nearly two hours from the population center of the district, Jon earned over 18% of the vote, and won the majority of votes in Rusk, his home county. In that race, Jon was endorsed by Representative James Edming, Senator Romaine Quinn, the Wisconsin Realtors Association, and many more notable people and organizations, despite being labeled an outsider in the race.

Jon remains politically involved as a member of the community, though he does not anticipate running for office any time soon.
